GSDF control live glow drills nearby Mt Fuji

Japan’s Ground Self Defense Forces on Thursday began 4 days of live-fire drills during training drift in Gotemba, Shizuoka Prefecture.

The annual exercise, hold given 1961, comes as a supervision moves to enhance a purpose of a troops and boost a invulnerability budget.

Held opposite a backdrop of Mt Fuji, about 2,400 soldiers took partial in a practice with about 80 tanks and armoured vehicles as good as 60 margin guns and 20 helicopters.

A far-reaching array of aircraft, artillery, tanks and helicopters dismissed on targets. Ground crew dismissed artillery, with helicopters drifting overhead.

The exercises are a biggest eventuality staged by a Self-Defense Forces any year. Members of a public, selected by lottery, are invited to watch a drills.
